Masala Pakkoda

A crispy pakoda for the monsoon............

This pakoda not only tastes yummy but easy to make also. Urad dal to be soaked between for just 30 minutes.

 

Ingredients  (serves : 4)

Urad dal (ulundu) - 1 cup
Chopped Onion  -  2 tbsp
chopped Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
chopped Ginger - 2 tsp
Chopped Green Chilli - 2 tsp
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying



Procedure :-

  • Grind the soaked ural dal little coarsely (without water) and transfer to a bowl. 
  • Add chopped onion, ginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, hing and salt. Mix well.


  • Heat oil in a kadai and scoop 1/4 tsp of the batter and drop in oil. 


  • Fry till golden brown and serve hot. 



Crispy & yummy masala pakoda is ready in a short time.


Refreshing Summer Drink - Lemon + Mint

This Lemon juice is really refreshing on a hot summer day. Not just lemon but mixed with herbs and spices will cool you down.




  • Lemon - 3 (medium)
  • Mint Leaves - 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Black salt
  • Sugar or sugar substitue as required
  • Black / Rock Salt to taste.
  • Water - 1 litre



Squeeze the lemon. Grind mint leaves, coriander leaves adding little water. Mix this to the lemon juice, add required water, sugar and salt. Mix well. before serving, just strain. If you want to enjoy it more, then Cool  it in refrigerator. After coming from hot son or a walk, sip it little by little. It will calm as well as cool you down.
