Warli is an art originated in Thane district of Maharashtra. It uses geometrical figures to bring out the day to day activities of the people of olden days. Through this painting we come to know how active people were and what sort of life they lived, their culture etc.
Welcome you all to a wonderful feast! Luckily this painting got saved as the borders got damaged at frame work place when the new trainee made a wrong cut near the border. Happy that my painting is safe.
Such beautiful work. The frame color complements your painting so well.

ReplyDeletePretty creation.

ReplyDeleteMira - I too had a virtual feast like the waralis are beaing served to a good fest. To avoid cutting of the edges , next time please provide 1/2 - 1 inch gap from the edge. It is always advisable that a one inch margin all the sides is given when you start a painting. Take care all the best
ReplyDeleteThank you Sudha, Mahi, Nitya bhen
ReplyDeleteNitya bhen, i did give a margin of 1.5" inspite of that the mistake happened. Hence planning to leave 3" margin in future to be on safer side :-) thank you.
