Granny Square Drawstring Pouch © -Alluring Crochet

Hi,

Hope you are doing good. I am back with my first post for this month.

I took a break from crocheting as my eyes badly needed a break. Finally back with my hook last week. Yesterday I was working on a small project-a drawstring pouch. The first easiest design that came to my mind is 'Granny Square'.

©You can use this pattern and make things and sell it. But You cannot sell this pattern.

Used Acrylic 4 ply yarn of charming yellow and varigated shade of green, 3.25 mm hook for this project.

Measures : 6.5" (h) and 5" (b)

Stretches upto 8" (h) and 6" (b) approx

An alluring Drawstring Pouch with my own version of the Pattern diagram on how I worked on it.Hope it will be use to you.

I have shared the diagram I have made while working on this.

For the drawstring, make 70 to 75 chains, weave them through Row-7, join ends. Attach a tassel at the end to each drawstring.

Granny Square pouch is ready!

You may add in more number of rows to get a bigger pouch. Accordingly the string length will vary. Lining is optional.

If you need any help, do drop in the comments section.

Crochet Cushion Cover - motifs joined

Came across  a free download of the pattern. But since the yarn varies, mine didn't fit the 16" cushion as mentioned in the pattern. So, I finished it with some rows of granny square.

Back side, used fabric.

Crochet Cushion cover - Grany square four pieces

A cushion cover recently crocheted by me. Black & White combo is always a great one to go with most of the sofa colours. This is the first fusion cushion cover project by me. Attached a fabric back to the crocheted front. I am not a sewing expert hence after several mistakes, trials, finally i was able to make it.  So making of a second one is going to be even more fun as now i am no more new to fushion covers.

Granny Square Cushion Cover :-

Back side fabric attachment :-

Now happily sitting to sew the Second one which is nearing finish.

Pot Holder - beaded swirl centre flower

This is my first post in my blog using beaded crochet. Though I have done few similar works which were gifted away, they were done very long back. this is the first beaded crochet work that is photographed by me.

This interesting pattern I came across while surfing for some other project. When I search for something I get distracted by so many eye catching interesting crochet patterns which I normally collect in my project library. This is one such pattern the link of which is here

Crochet Cathedral Motif Doily

This doily I was using as a mat over the side table. It was done long back but only a month back, I realised that it was not posted here. I used a two ply silky thread (not branded one but a local make) which has light multi shades of lavender colour.

Here it is for your :-

The original pattern link I forgot but this diagram photo was with me in my collection. I could not find the diagram for those who wish to give this beautiful motif a try, hence I delayed the posting of this work for a month. It was obtained during my search for some other project. As it was a beautiful motif pattern, I included it in my to-do list and did it.

courtesy : google search. (don't remember the source).

Crochet V-stitch Cell Cozy

I missed to post my cell phone cozy here. I made this after I changed my timing from evening to morning walks. Morning is a pleasant time when pollution in air is comparitively less compared to evening time. The birds are active chirping, trees looks fresh after a sleep to rejuvenate us for the day with their oxygen factory.... oho! I am taking you somewhere else!!

Instead of carrying it in hand I thought why not make a mobile cover for myself and thus ended up making this cell cozy which I can hang in my neck.

Used silk thread for this project (told by the vendor). It comes in many colours with a shine.  It is a local make and didn't have a brand label on it.  The thread is thick and stretches while in use & contracts when not in use.

Many crochet mobile cozies in the market here which has a shine is made using this thread.

I used I-cord method for making the chord for hanging it on neck. You can check the video for it here

Made some chains for base foundation, followed by two rows of SC around and then V-stitch around till desired length.

I liked this gorgeous button which goes well with this silk thread.

Happy Crocheting
